Damn, I really missed this game. It plays exactly as you remember it and is still pretty impressive. Highly recommend.. Nobody is playing online (that was the only way to play this back in the day) because the "remaster" is really just the same game from 20years ago setup to run on modern hardware. Don't buy this unless you want to play against weak AI bots that you'll bore of after the first hour of playing.. Options with limits.I have waited for years for a remaster for this game to be released, but unfortunately it does not allow the player to configure the controls to their content, myself being one of them.Coming from the N64 release; my basic controls on the N64 controller were thumbstick to aim and C-buttons for movement. So naturally I would remap that configuration onto the Xbox 360 controller. However, the game automatically forces you to use the thumbsticks (LST for movement RST for aim), which is completely reversed for me. Now I understand it will not bother 99% of the players here and that's fine, I, too, use this configuration myself in other games, but for a remastered version, this is pathetic.Better off getting Overload. At least that game allows Full Controller Support.Oh, and the Steam overlay (Shift+Tab) does not work for me for some reason.. OMG, this is an amazing game. Flashback from my college days when me and my friends spent HOURS playing this. NOW IT IS BETTER. Plays at 144HZ super smooth. Controls are spot on. I mean the graphics are dated but you will not notice it to much. Super fun to play. Very easy to play but a challenge to master this puppy. I played with a controller, originally; BUT with the mouse and keyboard this game really shines! Posses a definite challenge. If you played this back in the 90's, you will LOVE this remastered edition. Super amazing experience before, so much better now. The memories i was flooded with were worth the money alone. Thank you for making this experience better and allowing me to relive some of my childhood!! KUDOSNostalgic lvl 1000. This game was my first and prefered game for long time, even today I was playing it with the Project X.But the key binding is far from what it was, you don't have the slider toggle, you can't bind slide to the joystick sticks.That Huge "AIM" in the middle is terrible.Could be way better, I won't recommend it if you have played this and wanna play again now, as it is should, at least, be the same basic game, the controller freedon was amazing, now you are very restricted and it was one of the greats thing at the time, a 6x control movment.
